06 Noise in the House of God
Feb 22, 2026 • Rich Millhouse
In a world filled with noise—digital noise, political noise, internal anxiety—worship can easily become just one more place where words multiply but hearts remain shallow. This passage exposes the danger of careless worship and impulsive promises. Religious activity can coexist with spiritual shallowness. We can sing, pray, and speak passionately, yet fail to truly listen. We can make vows in emotional moments and quietly abandon them later. Worship without reverence and obedience becomes hollow.
