Love One Another Deeply

Peter instructs followers of Christ to love one another. This is significant because love for one another is a unique and distinguishing characteristic of true disciples of Christ and as such is an important part of making disciples and building God’s kingdom. We are empowered to love one another when we are reborn and through the new identity we receive from Christ based on what he has done for us. Finally, we practice love for one another not simply by growing in our understanding of Christ's great love for us.
