What We Believe

"What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us." - A.W. Tozer

Core Beliefs

The following are the core beliefs of Danube International Church based on the foundational truths taught in the bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.

SCRIPTURE

We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God. Men were moved by the Spirit of God to write the very words of Scripture. We believe the Bible is without error in the original manuscripts, true, authoritative and trustworthy. It is the standard of faith and practice for the church.1

God

We believe in one eternal God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus Christ is the second member of the Trinity (the Son of God). He was born of a virgin, lived, died, and rose again to reveal God to humanity as the Savior of the world.2

Mankind

We believe that humans, both male and female, were created in the image of God to have fellowship with him. We all became alienated from God through sinful disobedience. As a result, no one is capable of regaining a right relationship with God through his own efforts.3

Salvation

We believe that the atoning blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sin. We believe he rose bodily on the third day, conquering death and assuring eternal life. God freely offers salvation to those who place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin.4

The Church

We believe that the church is the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the head. The members of the church are those who have trusted by faith the finished work of Christ. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by knowing, loving, and honoring him, and by making him known to the lost world.5

HUMAN DESTINY

We believe that death seals the eternal destiny of each person. All humanity will experience a bodily resurrection and a judgment that will determine the fate of each individual. Believers will be received into eternal communion with God. Having rejected God and His offer of salvation, unbelievers will suffer eternal condemnation apart from Him.6  We believe that Jesus will return personally, visibly, and triumphantly to consummate history, vindicate faith, and reign eternally.7
