A Better Hope

David was a great hero—defeating enemies and leading God’s people to victory. Yet like every human hero, he failed. He sinned, abused power, and needed forgiveness. His story reminds us that even the best of us fall short.

But David points us to a better Hero. Jesus did not remain distant from His people’s need—He came near. He did not take life—He gave His life. He did not merely defeat armies—He defeated death. And unlike David, He had no sin of His own, yet became the sacrifice for ours.

Where human heroes fail, Christ remains faithful. He is the better Hero—yesterday, today, and forever.
